Successful at Wincanton and Southwell last spring and returned with a pair of good runner-up efforts at this course in the autumn. Below form back from 4 months off at Ascot latest but better expected here.
Fairly useful hurdler who has done even better over fences this term, winning 2m handicaps at Uttoxeter and Huntingdon in October. Some decent efforts in defeat since but may not want the ground too quick.
Improved for switch to chasing last season, landing handicaps over C&D andt Newbury. Hasn't added to those victories this term but got back on track when third at Ascot (16.8f, good to soft) last month and his yard could hardly be in better form.
In-and-out form last season but gained a third win over fences when making all in handicap at Wetherby in February. More miss than hit this term but is now 4 lb below his last winning mark and has had a breathing operation since his last run.
Multiple hurdles winner who made a fine start over fences (in blinkers) last summer, scoring 3 times at up to 16.5f. Not seen since falling early on at Carlisle in October but can go well fresh and Harry Cobden is an eye-catching booking.
Built up an impressive strike rate for present yard, adding small-field veterans' chase to his tally at this course in November. Has remained in good form since but others make more appeal for win purposes.
Progressive 6-y-o who landed back-to-back handicaps over shorter trips at Newbury in December/January. Not in same form here last month but remains fairly treated if he can bounce back.
Made a winning chase debut in Doncaster handicap (16.3f, good to soft) in December but not been in same form either start since. Cheekpieces (applied for victory) back on but percentage call is to look elsewhere.
In good form in the first half of 2023, including a win at Warwick (20f) in May. Ran poorly on return at Wincanton in November, though, and been off for a further 5 months since.
Four-time winner at Plumpton who arrives on back of solid second of 6 in handicap (9/4) at that venue (17f, good to soft) 22 days ago. This looks more competitive, though.
Proved to be a different proposition switched to fences following a wind op this year, winning 3 times (at up to 19.8f) at Plumpton and finding further improvement when second of 7 in Newbury handicap (16.4f, good to soft) last month. Big player.

Forecasts
Duhallow Tommy (9/4), Frere d'Armes (10/3), General Medrano (5/1), Whodini (8/1), Issar D'Airy (9/1), Fringill Dike (10/1), Thelasthighking (11/1), Charlie's Glance (12/1), Onemorefortheroad (18/1), Alto Alto (18/1), Prince Escalus (22/1), Le Ligerien (22/1), Another Crick (40/1)
DUHALLOW TOMMY is going the right way over fences and the form of his Newbury second has already been franked. He gets the nod in a tricky-looking contest. Fringill Dike and Thelasthighking are also of interest.

- Thelasthighking11/1
