BetGoodwin Master Trainer Chris Gordon Novices' Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

Bought for £110,000 after a promising effort between the flags in 2022 and has made steady progress under Rules, most recently finishing fourth in a strong maiden hurdle at Kempton (2m, good) on Boxing Day. Should have more to offer now upped in trip for this handicap debut and good claims.

Looks on a fair mark judged on his second in 2m novice handicap at Newbury earlier this month but spurned a good opening in Fontwell novice since. Should stay this far and isn't one to give up on.

Fair form in bumpers and again in a couple of races over hurdles this season, well positioned but lacking a turn of foot over the shorter trip (2m) when second at Newbury 7 weeks ago. Can do better now going handicapping over this stiffer test.

Had been shaping up quite well for Colm Murphy, but was notably weak in the market fitted with a hood by a new yard at Taunton 3 weeks ago and ran no sort of race. Back up in trip and might need his mark to drop a little further.

Looked on a tempting mark on his efforts in 2m novice/maiden hurdles but proved a bit disappointing on his handicap debut over this trip at Huntingdon 10 weeks ago. Remains unexposed at least.

Fair bumper winner and matched that level over hurdles when holding on gamely for success in 2m mares' maiden here in November. Will need to find more again as she goes handicapping up in trip 5 months on.

Steady improvement in 3 novice hurdles but only a respectable effort without finding the necessary progress on his handicap bow at Wincanton (21.4f, heavy) last month. Tongue tie/cheekpieces on after wind op now and work to do.

Bought for €90,000 after winning the third of 3 bumper starts in France. Some promise over hurdles initially for new yard but has been well beaten in 2 handicaps, including fitted with cheekpieces at Musselburgh 8 weeks ago. Bit to prove all of a sudden.

A regular here, winning 2m novice handicap hurdle in November and good efforts when completing since under this rider. Poor run over fences fitted with cheekpieces at Exeter on Monday and this looks tough.

Stuck to his task when runner-up at Chepstow (2m, heavy) in January but well beaten at Exeter next time. Work to do now handicapping up in trip.
