6/4

Chase winner in France last summer. Runner-up in a point in January and made a sound start to his hunter career when third at Taunton (23, soft) 4 weeks ago. This stiffer track should suit. Leading claims.

18/1

Fair form when twice runner-up in maiden hunters in Ireland last spring. Betting perhaps the best guide to expectations for new stable after 687 days on the sidelines.

Grand Roi^b⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-12| J: Mr Alex Chadwick⁽³⁾| T: Mrs J Owen| OR: 115

5/4

Fair chaser who has runner-up on Fakenham hunter debut in February and filled the same position behind Forest Chimes at Stratford (21f, heavy) last Monday. Only beaten a ½ length so he's weighted to turn the tables on 4 lb better terms.

Forecasts

Grand Roi (5/4), My Reprieve (6/4), Forest Chimes (5/2), Yippee Ki Yay (9/2), Earl Of Desmond (18/1)

The way MY REPRIEVE stayed on again after getting outpaced at Taunton last month suggests this stiffer track should play to her strengths and she can strike for Tom Ellis. Grand Roi can turn around last week's Stratford placings with Forest Chimes and provide the chief threat.
