Useful mare. 66/1, 9½ lengths last of 8 to Inspiral in Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket (8f, good to firm), unsuited by way race developed. Off 163 days. Winner of the Gladness Stakes on reappearance here last season and she will be a big player if again ready to roll following a break.

Useful filly. Off 149 days and back up in trip on first run for yard after leaving Dominic Ffrench Davis. Conditions won't be a problem and she should make her presence felt.

Fairly useful mare. 12 lengths tenth of 12 to Paris Peacock in listed race at Gowran (9.4f, good, 15/2), unable to sustain effort. Off 19 months and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

16/1, eighth of 10 in handicap at Bath (10.2f, soft), folding. Off 168 days and back down in trip on first start since leaving the George Boughey stable. New yard has landed 2 of the last 3 runnings of this but she's opposable all the same.

Twice-raced winner. One win from 2 runs last year. Won 11-runner maiden at Gowran (8.3f, heavy, 11/8). Off 153 days. Hood on 1st time. Open to improvement but this demands a significant step forward.

Useful filly. 25/1, 6 lengths fifth of 8 to Ylang Ylang in Fillies' Mile at Newmarket (8f, good to soft) on final run of last season. Should be in the mix if fully tuned-up for this seasonal reappearance. Yard also saddles Everlasting.

Twice-raced winner. One win from 2 runs last year. 9/2, won 11-runner maiden at Galway (8.3f, heavy), responding well. Off 140 days and this represents a significant step up in class but she's clearly a promising filly.

Fairly useful filly. Career best when winning 5-runner nursery (5/2) at Leopardstown (7.1f, heavy). Off 149 days and she will need to have improved during the winter if she's to follow up here.

Forecasts

Goldana (6/4), Brilliant (7/2), Alpheratz (4/1), You Send Me (4/1), Everlasting (13/2), Magical Sunset (16/1), Cadeau Belle (16/1), Mammas Girl (18/1), Sli Na Ghealai (25/1), Lady Of Inishfree (33/1), Peace Of Mine (100/1)

Verdict

The vote goes to GOLDANA, who made a winning reappearance on the back of a similar absence in the Gladness Stakes over 7f here last season and will have every chance if again raring to go following a winter break. You Send Me was safely held over this C&D in the Irish 1000 Guineas on the final start of her truncated 3-y-o campaign but she remains of interest in view of her earlier promise, while the Ballydoyle representatives Brilliant and Everlasting both merit respect, too.
