Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Handicap Chase

Off time: 16:21 | Winning time: 5m 34.40s

Limerick Leader^t,v1⁶¹

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: Craig Nichol| T: R Dobbin| OR: 92

9/2

Fair hurdler but just a modest maiden handicap chaser, well held again at Catterick 2 months ago. Down another 4 lb and in trip with stronger headgear tried.

Form: 7-22778

Coolkill⁴⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 11-11| J: Ryan Mania| T: A M Thomson| OR: 89

7/2

Largely struggled since a novice hurdle win in April 2021 but bit more encouragement the last twice. On a handy mark and can't be discounted.

Form: 89P8-24

Ex S'elance^p¹⁰⁶

Age: 10| Weight: 11-6| J: C P O'Shea⁽⁷⁾| T: V Thompson| OR: 84| D

22/1

Dual chase winner with quite a consistent record, again running with credit when fourth of 12 at Ayr 106 days ago. Likely to be thereabouts.

Form: P212-34

Claret Dabbler^p⁵²

Age: 10| Weight: 11-3| J: Bruce Lynn⁽³⁾| T: H Graham & G Rutherford| OR: 81

40/1

Modest form at best over fences at Catterick in December 2021 but missed 23 months and achieved nothing on return there over Christmas.

Form: 57324/P

Budarri^p,t⁴⁴

Age: 11| Weight: 10-13| J: Sam Coltherd| T: W Coltherd| OR: 77| CD

11/2

Successful twice here last winter and posted a good second here last time. Return to this distance should help and he looks a big player.

Form: 227532

Divas Doyen^p⁴⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 10-12| J: P W Wadge⁽³⁾| T: Miss S E Forster| OR: 76

6/1

Poor maiden hurdler/chaser who was back to form when second over C&D 48 days ago. Strong claims if she can back that up.

Form: 525-2P2

Izzy's Champion^p,t⁴⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 10-11| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 75| CD

10/1

Poor handicap chaser who had a stiff task from out of the weights when pulled up at this course 44 days ago. Could get back on track faced with more realistic assignment.

Form: 32-333P

Halfway House Lad^t¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 10-3| J: Conor Rabbitt⁽⁵⁾| T: M A Barnes| OR: 71

10/1

Well held all completed starts over hurdles and similar story so far in this sphere. Others make more appeal.

Form: 9P-7824

Blazing Hartingo^p¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-2| J: B S Hughes| T: Evan Williams| OR: 66

4/1

Has looked limited and temperamental over both hurdles and fences but managed to place at Sedgefield 11 days ago. Not completely ruled out in a weak contest.

Form: 44P573

Forecasts

Coolkill (7/2), Blazing Hartingo (4/1), Limerick Leader (9/2), Budarri (11/2), Divas Doyen (6/1), Halfway House Lad (10/1), Izzy's Champion (10/1), Ex S'elance (22/1), Claret Dabbler (40/1)

BUDARRI isn't the most consistent but he ran well from out of the weights when second at this course last time and, if he can back that up, he could go one better returned to his ideal distance. Divas Doyen and Ex S'elance also arrive in form and are feared.
