Johnston Smillie Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Runner-up both starts in Irish points and looked a good prospect when making a winning hurdling debut at Ayr (16f) in November. Well below that level at Haydock since but remains with potential.

Promising sort who won a Ffos Las novice hurdle for Kerry Lee in December and matched that form when creditable second at Wetherby (16f, heavy) on first start for new yard 22 days ago. Likely more to come yet.

Fairly useful winner on Flat who offered something to work on when fourth of 16 in novice hurdle at Newbury (16.3f, soft, 14/1) on NH debut 24 days ago. Respected.

Showed ability in a couple of runs over timber, latest when sixth of 9 in novice (11/4) over C&D (heavy) 49 days ago. More required to figure here but he can't be ruled out. Tongue strap on first time.

Reached the frame in a couple of AW bumpers in early 2022 but hasn't threatened in either start in this sphere more recently.

Modest form at best in bumpers and last of 6 on Hexham hurdle debut in October 2022. Best watched on return to action.

Down the field in 2 course bumpers 7 months apart and can only be watched now hurdling.

Fair Flat winner but unproven beyond 8.5f and finished well held on his completed starts over hurdles. Had wind operation.

Third in a course bumper in April but comfortably held in both attempts in this sphere and will likely be seen in a better light when sent handicapping.
