Pulled up in handicap chase (20/1) at Plumpton (28.5f, good to soft) 37 days ago, beaten quickly circuit out. Twelve runs since last win in 2022.

Max Dynamo^h,t⁴⁸

Age: 14| Weight: 11-10| J: James Best| T: Mrs E Bishop| OR: 120

33/1

Veteran who made light of a 10-month absence to win at Chepstow a year ago and added to his good record fresh when second in the Southern National at Fontwell on reappearance. Out of depth from 7 lb out of the handicap in Welsh National since but will make more of an impact here.

Form: P/160-2P

Valleres^p⁴⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-8| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR: 118| BF

20/1

Form: P6/310-P

Jubilee Express^p⁵⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 11-7| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: S Thomas| OR: 117

9/4

Fairly useful winner at 20f over hurdles. 5/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, fair third of 8 in handicap chase at Exeter (24.2f, heavy) 54 days ago. Needs to build on it.

Form: 1/227-43

Age: 10| Weight: 11-7| J: Alan Johns| T: Tim Vaughan| OR: 117

15/2

Scored at Wetherby last April and got back on track when fifth of 8 in handicap chase at Doncaster (24f, good to soft) 16 days ago, facing an inadequate test. In the mix now back up in trip.

Form: 12-P3P5

Grove Road^b¹⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: Nick Scholfield| T: A Watson| OR: 114

12/1

Looked a promising stayer in the making when winning a brace of novice hurdles in late 2022. Not kicked on since but at least his latest third in handicap chase at Uttoxeter 17 days ago was a big step up on his chase bow. More to offer.

Form: 25-3P53

Whydah Gally^p,t¹⁶

Age: 8| Weight: 10-12| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Tizzard| OR: 108| C

12/1

Unreliable type who scored at Lingfield on his return but below par over hurdles at Chepstow and in Fontwell handicap chase since. Plenty to prove.

Form: 4P3-164

Head And Heart^p²²

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: M G Nolan| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR: 107

5/1

Got off the mark in 3m handicap chase at Huntingdon last spring and better than ever this season, resuming winning ways in first-time headgear at Warwick last month. Shapes as though she'll stay this far and should go well again.

Forecasts

Jubilee Express (9/4), Movethechains (5/2), Sporting Ace (5/1), Head And Heart (5/1), Silver In Disguise (15/2), Whydah Gally (12/1), Grove Road (12/1), Iceo Madrik (18/1), Valleres (20/1), Max Dynamo (33/1)

A few with chances but Gary Moore's MOVETHECHAINS goes really well round here and is weighted to go close on the back of his resurgent C&D success. Head And Heart rates a big danger stepping up in trip, with the unexposed chaser Grove Road another who can have a say in a competitive event.
