9-y-o who proved he's as good as ever when second of 7 in handicap hurdle (9/2) at Newcastle (23.7f, heavy) 38 days ago. Blinkers on for 1st time. Should go well again.
Fair handicap hurdler who was well held on his completed start over fences at Down Royal (20f, soft, 66/1) on Boxing Day. Tries a longer trip back over hurdles on first outing for a new yard.
Irish point winner who confirmed the promise of her hurdling bow when winning a 7-runner novice at Wetherby (19.7f, heavy) 49 days ago, suited by increase in trip. Opening mark could have been a bit kinder but greater test of stamina expected to suit and she's open to further improvement.
Dual-winning chaser in the first half of 2022 but jumping errors consistently proved an issue. Took advantage of a much-reduced mark when landing a 3m2f Kelso handicap hurdle in November but wasn't in the same form at Haydock the following month.
Carlisle bumper winner in March. Offered something to work on first 2 hurdle starts prior to not getting home in a slog at a much longer trip at Kelso (22.7f). Has had a breathing operation ahead of handicap debut and should stay this far on pedigree.
Improved to make a winning start in handicaps in 7-runner event at this course (21.4f, soft) 55 days ago, by 1¼ lengths from Enemy At The Gate, driven out. Nudged up 5 lb but may do better still.
C&D winner who was well below form in 6-runner handicap at Haydock (24.3f, heavy, 5/1) 45 days ago. Tongue strap on for 1st time. Big player if bouncing back.
Maiden who ran as well as he ever has when beaten only by Cream of The West in 7-runner handicap at this course (21.4f, soft) 55 days ago, clear of rest. Merits consideration.
Finished runner-up on his completed start in Irish points but was probably flattered by his proximity to the principals in a falsely-run race at Newcastle in April and has been pulled up both starts this season. Has had a breathing operation.
Returned from a long absence with a creditable second at Kelso (20.9f) in October and has run creditably both outings since. Likely to remain competitive.
Modest at best in bumpers/over hurdles and has stamina to prove now stepping up appreciably in distance on handicap debut.
Bounced back to form when second of 14 in handicap hurdle (15/2) at this course (20.4f, heavy) 42 days ago. Needs to back that up in a stronger race than he need contest from 4 lb out of the weights.

Forecasts
Cream Of The West (11/4), Lady In The Park (5/1), Enemy At The Gate (11/2), Rob Roy Macgregor (11/2), Shoeshine Boy (7/1), Teescomponentstrig (9/1), Lewa House (9/1), Artic Mann (14/1), Justicialism (25/1), Paddy Elvis (33/1), Niceandeasy (33/1), Toombridge (80/1), Manfrominverlochy (150/1)
TEESCOMPONENTSTRIG proved he's as good as ever when second to a subsequent winner at Newcastle last month and is the percentage call to go one better in a change of headgear back down in grade. Shoeshine Boy is sure to be in the thick of the action if bouncing back from a poor run at Haydock, with handicap-debutante Lady In The Park and the lighty-raced Cream of The West completing the shortlist.
