Useful dual bumper winner and easily landed the odds at Stratford on his hurdling debut. However, he again showed his awkward side when falling in Grade 2 novice at Haydock last time, but he's capable of playing a major role back down in grade.

Winning Irish pointer but has offered little in 3 starts over hurdles so far, finishing well held after 14 months off at Taunton on his stable debut 20 days ago. Tongue strap now reached for.

Down the field both starts in bumpers and has fared no better in 2 maiden hurdles, finishing well beaten at Plumpton in December. Easy enough to look elsewhere.

Showed a bit when sixth of 16 in Chepstow bumper on Rules debut, but hasn't made much impact in his 2 starts since switched to hurdling. Needs to leave previous form well behind with cheekpieces now added.

Overcame greenness when making a winning bumper debut at Worcester and, after 5 months off, shaped encouragingly when second to a useful rival at Hereford on his hurdles bow in November. Leading contender with improvement to come upped in trip.

Has looked one for the longer term in 2 novice hurdles to date, going backwards from his debut effort when eighth of 9 at Newbury (20.5f) 39 days ago.

Showed bit more than on his first outing when fourth in novice at Taunton (19f) 20 days ago, though never landed a blow. Looks one for further down the line.

£2,000 4-y-o, No Risk At All gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful French 2m hurdle winner Batman Girac and fairly useful hurdler Rajsalad. Winning Irish pointer (December 10), so he's one to consider on his hurdling bow.

Sent off favourite (11/4) but ran below expectations when ninth of 15 at Hereford on debut in November, seeming very green. However, no surprise to see him fare better with that experience behind him as he goes hurdling.

After 6 months off, fared better than previously when mid-field in Exeter novice in November and backed up that effort when third in handicap at the same course (18.5f) 46 days ago. However, he has work to do back in novice company.

Ran to a fairly useful level in bumpers, finishing runner-up for the third time in as many starts at Wincanton 16 days ago. Can give another good account as he goes up in trip for his hurdles debut.

JOHNNY BLUE made a promising start over hurdles when giving best only late on to a useful rival at Hereford in November, so he can build on that effort to go one better. He is taken to see off the challenge of Bowenspark, who can make his presence felt back down in grade, while Rue St Denis could take a step forward on his hurdles bow.
