Book Easter Festival At Plumpton Now Novices' Handicap Chase

Off time: 13:45 | Winning time: 4m 29.11s

Duhallow Tommy⁶³

11/10

Runner-up in a point and made it third time lucky in bumpers at Fontwell last January. Only modest form in 3 hurdles this season (including when a short-priced favourite for handicap debut) but could fare better now switching to fences after wind surgery.

Form: 310-443

Calvic⁸⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-10| J: G Sheehan| T: Mrs L Hill| OR: 94

5/1

Point winner who has only shown modest form under Rules but remains with some potential in this sphere. Could improve on the back of a break.

Form: 1P/42P5

Gorcombe Moonshine^p²⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-9| J: Harry Kimber⁽³⁾| T: R Walford| OR: 79

9/2

10/3, career best when winning 7-runner handicap at Fontwell (soft) on debut over fences 16 days ago. Unexposed in this sphere and can go in again.

Age: 8| Weight: 10-5| J: Tabitha Worsley⁽³⁾| T: K Jewell| OR: 75WS

14/1

Forecasts

Duhallow Tommy (11/10), Guillaume (3/1), Gorcombe Moonshine (9/2), Calvic (5/1), Extraordinary Man (5/1), Clondaw Robin (14/1), Millies Mite (14/1), Christopher Clive (150/1)

There could be more to come from GORCOMBE MOONSHINE over fences and he can prove too strong for fellow last-time-out scorer Guillaume. Extraordinary Man is going through a good spell and should figure again, while Duhallow Tommy couldn't justify market confidence on his handicap hurdle debut but it'll be interesting to see whether his supporters return now chasing after wind surgery.
