Still capable of high-class form despite his advancing years, finishing runner-up over 2m at Ascot and 19.5f at Chepstow this season. No reason why he won't give his running again for all he's conceding plenty of weight all round.

Successful on first 2 starts over fences last season and improved in stronger company since, good third on return at Ascot in November and still over a length up when falling last back there later that month. Up 3 lb but definite claims.
|
Really has got his act together over fences since last spring, making it 4 wins in his last 6 starts when seeing off 6 rivals over 19f at Ascot last month, albeit helped by an idling runner-up. Assessor applies a little more pressure but certainly not out of things.

Winless since scoring over C&D 2 years ago but hard to knock his consistency this term, again jumping/travelling fluently when finding only Shakem Up'arry too strong at Cheltenham (20.6f) on New Year's Day. Big shout racing off correct mark back down in trip.
|
Jumped superbly when taking apart a small field at Haydock (16.3f) in November. Not in anything like the same form when third of 4 in handicap back at that venue 4 weeks ago but certainly too soon to be writing him off.
|
Irish raider who improved plenty during second half of last year, scoring over hurdles and progressed further for switch to chasing, landing maiden/novice events at Wexford Limerick (at up to 17.7f). Goes handicapping now and yard's representatives always command respect over here.

Forecasts
Frero Banbou (2/1), Saint Segal (3/1), The King Of Prs (4/1), Triple Trade (11/2), First Flow (15/2), Real Stone (16/1)
FRERO BANBOU is winless since tasing success over C&D 2 years ago but he lines up here having acquitted himself with plenty of credit all 4 starts in competitive handicaps this winter and, with the ease back down in trip unlikely to inconvenience Venetia Williams' 9-y-o, he can deservedly regain the winning thread. That said, Saint Segal was set to play a big part before falling at Ascot in November and he's a threat, with low-mileage Irish raider The King Of Prs also shortlisted.
