Easy winner sole start in Irish points and quickened clear in good style to land a 3-runner contest at Southwell last month. Clearly has more on his plate here but has plenty of potential.
Jack Hobbs gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/fair chaser Jubilympics and fair hurdler Pepite de Belle. Dam (h129) 2m-19f hurdle winner. Looks one for the longer term.
€12,000 3-y-o, €200,000 4-y-o, Kingston Hill gelding. Dam unraced, closely related to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 21f) Cavite Beta. Successful sole start in Irish points (Apr 2023). Takes the eye on paper and looks the one to beat.
Passing Glance gelding. Dam (h90), bumper winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdle winner (stayed 25f) Milans Man. Worth monitoring in the betting.
Brother to useful hurdler Anyharminasking and mild promise when fifth at Chepstow on debut, caught further back than ideal. Open to improvement 82 days on.
From a good family and belied huge odds to make a winning start over C&D a couple of months ago. This is a better race, but can't be ruled out under a penalty.
Made a winning debut at Ludlow and, while he struggled under a penalty at Wincanton since, he may yet do better, so not completely dismissed.
Wings of Eagles gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Kakamora and French 2¼m hurdle winner Ihaveauseforyou. Of obvious interest on debut.
Cheap purchase who didn't offer a great deal when down the field at Wincanton. Others make more appeal.
Fair form when fourth both starts to date but will need to up his game if he's to open his account in what looks a competitive event.
Related to a couple of winners and showed ability on debut. Didn't really build on that at Doncaster last time and has a bit to find.
Half-sister to 2 winners, including bumper winner/useful 2m hurdle winner Viva Devito. Didn't shape at all badly on debut when 12½ lengths third of 17 in the Newbury bumper and she's likely to improve for the experience.
Harzand filly. Half-sister to 7f winner Dion Baker. Dam maiden on Flat (stayed 10.5f). One for shortlist on debut given connections.

Forecasts
Kingston Pride (8/11), Castle Ivers (9/2), Eagle's Quest (6/1), Tripoli Flyer (15/2), Habibi (25/1), Opera King (28/1), Naomhi (28/1), Lightning Flash (40/1), Ask Her Out (50/1), Infantryman (80/1), Spitfire Bridge (150/1), Jack Out Of Reach (150/1), Lord Of The Glance (150/1)
KINGSTON PRIDE was an expensive purchase on the back of a point win and, while this sort of speed test might not be ideal, he should have the ability to make a successful start under Rules. Castle Ivers is two from two (including a point) and looks an obvious danger, while Habibi is worthy of consideration following a positive start at Newbury.
