Made the frame all 4 starts in points and though safely held when third on Rules debut in Sedgefield bumper, she's since won both starts over hurdles at Uttoxeter and Fontwell (both at around 2½m under testing conditions). Likeable type but this drop in trip is of dubious benefit.

Fourth both starts in points and finished in the same position in a 10-runner Exeter novice (16.7f, heavy) on recent Rules debut. Ability is clearly there but sizeable step forward will be needed if he's to emerge on top here.

In command when saddle slipped and unseated rider in sole point and made a successful bumper debut for new stable at Ffos Las in November. Wasn't disgraced when sixth of 15 starting out over hurdles at Exeter (16.7f, heavy) last time but will need to step up on that if he's to get competitive here.

Showed a bit on the first of 3 starts in bumpers for Matt Sheppard but too free both starts over hurdles for new yard since returning from a 13-month absence. Wouldn't be the greatest of surprises were he to leave that form behind in due course.

Has hinted at ability, initially on debut in a Worcester bumper back in 2021 and most recently on hurdles bow over this C&D last April. However, this assignment demands a big step forward.

Showed plenty when runner-up on debut in a bumper here early last season, and he was unlucky not to make a winning start over hurdles at Ffos Las (15.8f, heavy) in November (landed very awkwardly at the last). Proved a let-down over the same C&D since but he's surely worth another chance.

Winning Irish pointer who shaped as if he'd be better for the run when fifth of 16 in maiden hurdle at Exeter (16.7f, heavy) on Rules debut last month, finishing tired. Likely to improve.

Didn't shape at all badly when fourth of 7 on debut in the Ffos Las bumper won by Doyen Quest but there have not been any positives to take from his efforts over hurdles thus far.

No impact in handful of runs for Jonathan Portman on the Flat and will need to prove an entirely different proposition now switched to hurdles for new yard if he's to get competitive.

It was disappointing to see STEEL ALLY drop out so tamely at Ffos Las last month but he's well worth another chance in view of his hurdles debut promise at the same course. The forecast better ground here should help and he will hopefully settle better this time, too. Point winner Totowolfe shaped pretty well on his Rules debut at Exeter and he gets the nod ahead of Gower Prince and the hat-trick seeking Easy To Follow for forecast purposes.
