Going the right way now, following up December's Wolverhampton success with a career-best victory in a 10-runner handicap (11/4) at Southwell (8.1f) 4 days ago. Should give bold bid under a penalty.

Landed back-to-back wins at Chelmsford (apprentices) and Newcastle in November and was worn down only late by another thriving sort at Newcastle (8f) 18 days ago. Should be involved again.

Latest win at Yarmouth in July. 11/1, seventh of 11 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 31 days ago. Has slipped in the weights but seemingly just going through the motions at present.

Lightly-raced maiden. 9/2 and tongue strap on for 1st time, seventh of 8 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f) 9 days ago. Respected if able to bounce back to the form of her prior Kempton second.

Progressing well this winter, notching a second career sucess in 8-runner handicap (5/1) at Southwell (8.1f) 9 days ago. Impressed with his attitude there and can't be discounted with good-value claimer retaining the ride.

C&D winner. Latest win here in November. Respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at this C&D (AW, 15/2) 11 days ago, nearest finish. Should give another good account but others perhaps appeal as better treated.

Forecasts

Goldsmith (6/5), Inverlochy (11/4), Landlordtothestars (11/2), Monopolise (7/1), Hul Ah Bah Loo (11/1), Platinum Jubilee (25/1)

Verdict

A really hot race of its type, with GOLDSMITH narrowly fancied to defy a 5 lb penalty for last week's Southwell success and complete the hat-trick. Inverlochy has been at the top of her game this winter, but similarly to last time, may find a thriving rival too good here, with the progressive Landlordtothestars also highly respected.
