Fairly useful hurdles winner who posted best effort over fences when runner-up in Leopardstown novice in March 2022. Disappointed on final start for Henry de Bromhead and market best guide on belated return for new yard (has had a wind op). Hood on first time.

Winning hurdler and showed aptitude for chasing when third in handicap at Worcester (20f) on his return last season. Wasn't able to build on that effort when fifth at Chepstow next time, but he could still have more to offer, albeit after a further 11 months off.

Still looking for his first win but denied by only a neck at this C&D in November on his stable debut. Again ran well when fourth at Doncaster the following month, but will need to find more as he switches to chasing.

Made it second time lucky over hurdles at Uttoxeter last season, but he failed to progress thereafter and below expectations when well held on his chase debut at Huntingdon in November. However, it remains early days over fences, having had a wind op with tongue tie added.

Maiden hurdler but this half-brother to the yard's very smart chaser Cepage shaped promisingly on his chasing debut when second in handicap at Ludlow in November, clear of the remainder. Can build on that effort to go one better.

Has shown improved form since joining his current yard, getting off the mark in handicap at Hereford in November and doing well to follow up at this C&D, overcoming mistakes and trouble in running. Respected despite running from out of the weights.

Sole win came in handicap chase at Ffos Las (19.4f) in June 2021. Runner-up on 2 of his 3 starts for present yard, most recently in a 3-runner C&D handicap, but looks vulnerable from 9 lb out of the weights here.

HUNTER LEGEND made a promising start over fences when runner-up at Ludlow in November, pulling clear of the rest, and he can open his account with improvement to come. He is taken to see off the challenge of Johnny Mac, who has won both starts since joining Matt Sheppard, while Clonakilty could yet do better as a chaser.
