Fair hurdler for Stuart Crawford in Ireland and, after 18 months off, showed that he retains plenty of ability when third in Sedgefield maiden in October. However, shaped with minimal encouragement on chase bow at Southwell last month.
Successful 3 times over 17f at Carlisle in 2021/22 but winless last term. However, made a much better fist of things on his second try chasing back from 9 months off when third at Carlisle and may well come on again for the run. Needs considering.
Winner over hurdles at Huntingdon in March. Should make a chaser but proved a let-down after 7 months off when eighth of 13 in handicap chase at Warwick (20f, heavy, 11/1) on debut over fences 64 days ago. Has had a breathing operation.
Fair hurdler who was more miss than hit last season and much better for chase bow/return second at Wincanton. Needs to build on that again.
Mixed bag over hurdles for this yard but returned to something like his best back over fences, showing a good attitude to land 7-runner Ffos Las handicap (19.4f). Respectable second of 6 in at this course (22.7f, heavy, 3/1) 4 weeks ago and has to be taken seriously back down in trip.
Three chase wins at the start of 2022. Also runner-up twice at Huntingdon last spring but has run badly all 3 starts since returning from 5 months off.
Best effort when runner-up in handicap chase at Bangor (20.3f, heavy, 12/1) on debut over fences 26 days ago, doing her best work late on. May need further if she's to build on that.
Gained his second chase win when seeing off 9 rivals over 2½m at Warwick in November and his subsequent Market Rasen run is easy to ignore (pulled up early after rein snapped). Good second at Hereford since and can go well again.
Out of sorts in the spring and little encouragement at Bangor on return.

Forecasts
Eyed (3/1), Royal Mer (10/3), Has Troke (9/2), Supasunrise (11/2), Our Friend Mo (8/1), Malpas (11/1), Out The Glen (14/1), Higgs (18/1), Arlo (33/1)
MALPAS made a much better fist of things on his second try chasing back from 9 months off when third at Carlisle and has potential to do better again given his hurdles form. He gets the vote eased in class, with Royal Mer and Supasunrise feared most.
- Malpas11/1
- Royal Mer10/3
- Supasunrise11/2
