High-class chaser at his best. Lost his way over fences in more recent times but took a step back in the right direction when third of 15 in 3m Cheltenham handicap hurdle on his reappearance. Much respected.
One-time smart hurdler who cashed in from a career-low mark at Newbury (3m) in March. Ended his campaign with a poor run at Cheltenham in April and Nico de Boinville deserts him in favour of Chantry House.
Perfect start to last season when arriving late on the scene to win this race on soft. Hasn't reproduced that since, including beaten a long way on Newbury reappearance, but he has dipped to 8 lb below last year's winning mark if first-time blinkers (replacing cheekpieces) spark a revival.
Ended last season on a high, completing a hat-trick at up to 3m. His winning run was ended on his Newbury reappearance but he shaped encouragingly in fourth. Should be spot on now.
Disappointing on his final 3 runs last term but he took a step back in the right direction when second of 5 on his 23f Uttoxeter reappearance a fortnight ago, albeit it was a weak race.
Dual hurdler winner in 2021/22 and posted a useful effort to win a 2½m Lingfield handicap chase last winter. Dropped out and never involved in a 3m Haydock handicap hurdle on his reappearance but it was a very hot race and no surprise were he to fare a lot better in these calmer waters.
Doubled his tally when the 5-length winner of a 24.5f Aintree handicap on his reappearance in October. Presumably found the run coming too soon when beaten favourite at Newbury 11 days ago. Freshened up since and capable of bouncing back.
Improved to make a winning reappearance in 2½m course handicap last month and followed up off the same mark at Lingfield 9 days later (both under Cameron Iles). 9 lb higher now bidding for the hat-trick but he could have more to come over this trip.

Forecasts
Operation Manna (5/2), Equinus (3/1), Hititi (11/2), Chantry House (11/2), Brinkley (6/1), Dolphin Square (14/1), Sholokjack (22/1), On The Blind Side (25/1)
CHANTRY HOUSE is given a chance to build on last month's promising effort back over hurdles at Cheltenham. The hat-trick seeking Operation Manna, who has struck up a really good partnership with Cameron Iles, is second choice ahead of Equinus.
