Homme Public^p,t³⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Henry Brooke| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 138| D

13/2

Likeable sort who had another good campaign last season, winning twice. Well supported and duly made a successful debut over fences on return at Wetherby (15.2f, good) last month but he lacks physical scope so it's questionable how far he can go in this sphere.

JPR One²⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Tizzard| OR: 134| D

6/5

Highly tried on back of novice hurdle wins and defied 12-month absence to score at Taunton (16.5f) in March. Took an immediate step forward sent chasing when landing 3-runner handicap at Newton Abbot (16.3f, heavy) and is open to further improvement.

Form: 105/15-1

Mighty Tom¹²

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: Danny Gilligan| T: C Collins| D

9/4

Smart handicap hurdler who shaped well when runner-up sent chasing after 11 weeks off, unlucky to bump into Letsbeclearaboutit in Grade 3 at Cork (20f, soft) 12 days ago. He's a likeable sort and is entitled to do better over fences.

Form: 03-1622

Petit Tonnerre²⁴⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 139

9/2

Made winning handicap debut for this yard 20 months ago and shaped well or better than the result several times last season, latest when seventh in the County at the Festival (16.8f, good to soft) 8 months ago (not clear run before last). Built for chasing, so one to note on return.

Forecasts

JPR One (6/5), Mighty Tom (9/4), Petit Tonnerre (9/2), Homme Public (13/2)

Having shaped well or better than the result on several occasions in competitive handicap hurdles last season, PETIT TONNERRE is taken to make a winning start over the larger obstacles at the expense of Mighty Tom, who was unlucky to bump into Letsbeclearaboutit on his chasing debut at Cork recently and is entitled to do better over fences. Jpr One gets the verdict over Homme Public for third place.
