Dual winner during novice campaign in 2021/22 and produced a game display when adding to his tally from the front at Ludlow (23.8f, soft) last December. Ran no sort of a race over that C&D on latest start during the spring, though, and looks vulnerable under top-weight here.

Limited to just 3 starts last season, but looked better than ever when landing the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter (3½m, soft) in March, producing an exhibition round of jumping. This 8 lb higher mark looks manageable and he will be a danger to all if ready to roll following a break.

Appeared to relish the switch to front-running tactics when signing off last season with a clear-cut success at Ludlow, but looked equally happy given a more patient ride when following up on return at Newton Abbot (25.8f, soft). 6 lb rise fair enough and he has to enter calculations.

Bagged 3m handicap hurdles at Southwell and Doncaster last winter, but pulled up both starts during the spring. Switched yard since and hard to know what to expect of him back chasing following a 6-month absence.

Made a successful debut over fences after a wind operation in 2½m handicap at Bangor on return last season. Added to that with a career-best display at Uttoxeter (3m, heavy) when last seen in May and a 4 lb rise is unlikely to debar another bold show.

Landed the Tommy Whittle at Haydock off 5 lb higher in December 2021, but largely struggled since and needs to bounce back in a major way following a break/another round of wind surgery.

On a good mark judged on peak form, but he hasn't shown much during the last 2 seasons and there's no real reason to envisage a revival here.

Forecasts

Arizona Cardinal (5/2), Jet Plane (3/1), Latitude (7/2), Bobhopeornohope (9/2), Docpickedme (6/1), Major Dundee (13/2), Enqarde (10/1), One More Fleurie (28/1)

Verdict

This looks pretty competitive, with LATITUDE, Jet Plane, Major Dundee and Arizona Cardinal all seriously appealing on the back of career-best performances last time. Preference is for the first-named, who looked a chaser going places with decisive back-to-back wins during the spring. Jet Plane is the only member of the aforementioned quartet with a recent run under his belt, which could count for plenty, and he is feared most ahead of Midlands National winner Major Dundee.
