Smart performer in Germany (probably best up to 1½m) successful twice in 2021. €110,000 purchase thereafter but offered little when last of 9 in Chester Group 3 in spring of last year. Not the easiest to weigh up coming back from another lengthy absence.

C&D winner who shaped encouragingly following 9 months off when sixth of 8 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good to soft, 11/2) 27 days ago, fading inside final 1f. Entitled to be sharper with that behind him and worth considering given he comes here fresher than most.
5/2, proved at least as good as ever when winning 5-runner handicap at this C&D (heavy) 14 days ago, going clear final 1f. Handicapper has reacted but he can't be discounted with a repeat.
Made a winning debut here (8.3f) in April and having not been discredited at listed level next time, he capitalised on return to much calmer waters when scoring with plenty to spare at Lingfield (10f, AW) 32 days ago. Promises to do better again now handicapping.
Lightly-raced winner. Blinkered for 1st time, respectable third of 6 in minor event (9/2) at Gowran (9.4f, good to soft) in June, his finishing effort leaving something to be desired. Joined new yard for 16,000 gns since and market best guide back from 4 months off.
Course winner. 17¼ lengths thirteenth of 14 to Sapphire Seas in listed race (50/1) at Yarmouth (10.1f, good to soft) 28 days ago, finding the step up in class against her. This more suitable with her mark steadily easing.
Winner of a soft-ground nursery on final start at Newmarket (9f) 12 months ago. Consistent without getting his head infront so far this time around, creditable fourth of 7 in handicap at Haydock (1m, soft) 3 weeks ago. Return to further a plus with cheekpieces replacing visor.
Off the mark on handicap debut at Doncaster (11.9f, soft) in July and ran with credit on 2 of his 3 starts since, good third of 9 in handicap at York (11.8f) 25 days ago. Should give another good account operating from same mark.

Forecasts
Mr Alan (3/1), Golden Move (3/1), Dubai Souq (7/2), Regheeb (11/2), Shahbaz (13/2), Belhaven (7/1), Vellner (80/1), Adrian (100/1)
A good quality handicap with a chance taken on MR ALAN. George Boughey's charge shaped with plenty of promise on the back of 9 months off at Ayr last month and, with that under his belt, he can prove his present mark a workable one. Improving 3-y-o Regheeb and Golden Move are others to consider, with recent course scorer Dubai Souq also in the mix with a repeat.
