Dropped in grade and with cheekpieces back on, he won for the first time over hurdles since 2018 at Cartmel (22.1f, good to soft) in July. Mid-field faced with testing conditions next time, but back on firmer ground he was still in contention when falling 2 out last month.
Confirmed the promise of his reappearance run when getting back to winning ways at Cartmel (25.4f) in July. Improved further when scoring again at the same C&D the following month and he could still have more to offer. Leading contender.
Lightly-raced 8-y-o who made a winning handicap debut in a first-time tongue strap at Newcastle (20.3f) in March. Following a wind op, made little impression at Perth (23.9f) in July, so needs to leave his latest effort behind after another 3 months off.
Ended 2021/22 on a winning note and again came good in the month of April when getting his head back in front at Carlisle (25f). Ran at least as well when second at Perth (26.6f) 19 days later, so he's capable of getting involved if ready to go on his return.
Landed his fourth win at Perth when successful there (16.2f) in September, gradually getting to the runaway leader. Well held at the same C&D 17 days ago, but had been in good form previously so he can bounce back returned to this longer trip.

Our Sam (5/2), Fabuleux Du Clos (5/2), Shoeshine Boy (3/1), Didtheyleaveuoutto (9/2), Celestial Horizon (7/1), Malangen (15/2)
OUR SAM showed improved form when recording back-to-back wins at Cartmel this summer and he can continue his progress to land the hat-trick. Malangen had been in good heart prior to his latest outing, so he could bounce back to pose the biggest threat to the selection, with Shoeshine Boy the pick of the remainder.
