Grace & Dotty Country Clothing Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) (Div 2)

Off time: 14:17 | Winning time: 4m 1.50s

Alright Dai²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: R P McLernon| T: N P Mulholland

17/2

Made the frame in a trio of bumpers but was well below that level when sixth of 9 in novice at Worcester (16f, good to soft) on hurdles bow 20 days ago. Bit to prove now.

Form: 42-26

Booster Bob^h1¹⁸⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: S Bowen| T: O Murphy| D

5/6

Bit disappointing at Wetherby in April but had made a winning NH debut in Ayr bumper previously and remains with potential now sent hurdling. Hooded for first time.

Form: 13-

Delgany Bobby Blue²⁰³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Harry Skelton| T: D SkeltonWS

10/3

Shaped with a fair degree of promise under a considerate ride when runner-up in a Chepstow bumper in February. Never involved at same course the following month but warrants respect on hurdles bow.

Form: P/20-

Lifetime Adventure¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Lorcan Murtagh| T: A B Hamilton

200/1

Only hinted at ability in 2 bumpers for Stuart Crawford and offered little for this yard since, including on Kelso hurdles debut last month.

Form: 8776

Moarins Moarnin^h1

Age: 7| Weight: 11-4| J: Adam Wedge| T: L Morgan

11/1

€75,000 3-y-o, £24,000 5-y-o, Getaway gelding. Half-brother to winning hurdler/useful chaser Arvico Bleu. Dam, ran once on Flat, closely related to smart bumper winner Samain. Wears hood. Trainer’s newcomers command respect.

Form:

Present De Vango¹⁴⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: David England| T: O Murphy

13/2

Shaped like a stayer when fifth in bumper at Market Rasen on NH debut in March and was a similar story on switch to hurdling at Warwick (16f) in May, left behind 3 out. Looks one for handicaps over longer trips.

Form: 45-5

Yes And Yes¹⁵³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Lee Edwards| T: B Clarke

28/1

Placed in points but no impact in a couple of attempts over hurdles and makes little appeal on debut for new yard.

Form: P/327-8

Passengerontheship¹⁴⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-3| J: Jonathan England| T: S England

25/1

£17,000 4-y-o, Pillar Coral gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Benign Dictator and fair hurdler West Is Awake. Placed in Irish point and is likely a longer-term prospect.

Form: 53

Non-Runners

Duhallow Tommy²

Weight: 11-4| Age: 5

T: T Lawes J: Non Runner

Grangeclare North¹⁶⁴

Weight: 10-11| Age: 6

T: J & S Best J: Nick Scholfield

Forecasts

Booster Bob (5/6), Duhallow Tommy (5/2), Delgany Bobby Blue (10/3), Present De Vango (13/2), Alright Dai (17/2), Moarins Moarnin (11/1), Passengerontheship (25/1), Yes And Yes (28/1), Grangeclare North (33/1), Lifetime Adventure (200/1)

Preference is for BOOSTER BOB, who won first time up in a bumper last term and hails from a yard in fine form. Delgany Bobby Blue and Duhallow Tommy can also make their presence felt.
