Twice-raced gelding. 28/1, first run since leaving John & Thady Gosden when seventh of 12 in minor event at Kempton (8f) 15 days ago. Improvement needed now switched to turf.
Bated Breath gelding. Dam useful French 8.5f winner out of very smart 1m-10.5f winner Nebraska Tornado, won Prix de Diane/Prix du Moulin de Longchamp. Doesn't appeal as a probable first-time-out winner on paper.
Promising type. Second of 13 in maiden at Doncaster (7f, heavy, 16/1) on sole 2-y-o start, running on late. Gelded since and this well-bred type is very much of interest, despite returning from an 11-month absence.
Twice-raced gelding. Second of 9 in maiden at Chelmsford City (8f, 5/1) 21 days ago. Likely to pick up a race before long but yard saddles a more appealing candidate here in Hosanna Power.
Fairly useful gelding. Remains a maiden after 7 Flat runs. Last of 2 in maiden at Brighton (8f, good, 5/2) 18 days ago. He's the most exposed of these and will probably find one or two too good.
Once-raced colt. 33/1, fifth of 12 in minor event at Kempton (7f) on debut 22 days ago, left with too much to do. Looks nailed-on to improve with that run under his belt and stepping up to a mile here looks a good move.
Twice-raced gelding. Fourth of 10 in maiden (11/10) at Wolverhampton (7.2f), having hopeless task from position. Remains with potential and may well have a part to play in the finish. Gelded.
Once-raced colt. Second of 7 in maiden (200/1) at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm) on debut 19 days ago, rallying. Clearly possesses ability but will probably need to improve a chunk in order to go one better here.

Forecasts
Hosanna Power (13/8), Talis Evolvere (10/3), Marching Band (10/3), Paternoster Square (9/1), Pearling Trail (12/1), Wath Court (14/1), Boldly (20/1), Hiccups (150/1)
It was probably a decent novice in which PEARLING TRAIL made an eye-catching debut at Kempton where, under considerate handling, he put in good late work from a compromising position to finish fifth. He may well find the necessary improvement to emerge on top here. Hosanna Power shaped with abundant promise on his sole 2-y-o start and will be a big threat if fit enough to do himself justice on this belated seasonal reappearance. Talis Evolvere is another promising type who needs considering.
