2 wins from 3 runs this season, latest in a near-useful event at Wexford in May. Had his winning run ended in tame fashion at Ballinrobe in July, but he's only a 5-y-o so there's every chance this youngster could get back on the up.

Twenty runs since last win in 2019. Respectable fifth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Tipperary (20f, good to soft, 14/1) 64 days ago. Should remain competitive.

Unreliable individual. Good second of 11 in handicap hurdle (16/1) at Tramore (16f, good) 22 days ago, flattered by proximity. Big chance if turning up here in similar form.

Fairly useful performer on the Flat who has been well held in 3 juvenile events over hurdles, though may do better now handicapping.

Forecasts

The Big Chap (2/1), Effernock Fizz (5/2), Tom McGreevy (11/4), Cerberus (11/2), Bonarc (7/1), Kojin (7/1), Flidais (8/1), As Tears Go By (14/1)

Verdict

THE BIG CHAP wasted little time getting back on the up when scoring at Sligo in July and a 7 lb rise may not be enough to prevent the follow up. Tom McGreevy isn't the most reliable of customers but would have a big chance if backing up his latest run at Tramore, while youngster As Tears Go By shouldn't be written off.
