Showed more than previously on his third start in maiden hurdles when runner-up at this course (20.4f) in June and progressed again when fourth on handicap debut back here the following month. Disappointing last time, but worth another chance returned to this venue.

Fairly useful on the Flat in France and showed that he retains ability when runner-up on the level at Kempton (2m) in June. In first-time cheekpieces in this sphere, finished second in maiden at Market Rasen last time, albeit beaten a long way. More needed now handicapping.

Signs of ability when trained by Shane Crawley in Ireland and, after 7 months off, shaped better than previously on her stable debut when seventh of 11 in handicap at Market Rasen in May last year. Has further 15-month absence to overcome, though.

Form went the wrong way in bumpers, but stepped up on his hurdling debut when fourth at Perth in August last year. However, failed to repeat that effort next time and off 12 months since (has had a wind op). Has left Dr Richard Newland ahead of his handicap debut.

Fair form over hurdles on her only start in France, but hasn't progressed for her current yard. After 4 months off, never involved when seventh of 10 in handicap at Bangor 17 days ago. Continues to fall in the weights but more needed to take advantage.

Produced his best effort in this sphere when runner-up from 6 lb out of the weights at Newton Abbot in June and belatedly built on that promise when going one better at Stratford 2 weeks ago. Leading contender.

Fair winner at 10f on the Flat for Tom Clover but hasn't made much impact in four runs over hurdles so far. However, he could yet do better now making his handicap hurdle debut after 11 months off.

Hasn't offered much in a trio of junior hurdles to date, again finishing well held when fifth of 6 at Wetherby in February. Needs to leave previous efforts well behind as he goes handicapping.

Forecasts

Frisco Queen (3/1), Skeeter Park (7/2), Tally's Son (4/1), Asa (6/1), Abraaj (8/1), Cawthorne Cracker (10/1), Shuil Donn (11/1), Rogue Mission (14/1), Dee Day Landing (20/1)

Verdict

Ridden with a touch more restraint than of late, TALLY'S SON opened his account in this sphere at Stratford a fortnight ago and he can score again now that he's up and running. The biggest threat could come from Skeeter Park, who can leave a lesser effort behind back at this course, while Rogue Mission is an interesting contender on handicap debut.
