Landed an AW novice (7f) in May and followed up on handicap debut at Doncaster (7f) a month later. Not in same form at Newmarket on penultimate start but quickly back on track when runner-up at Leicester (7f) 30 days ago (Liberalist placed fifth). One to consider upped to 1m.

Placed both starts as a juvenile and found some improvement to make a winning return in a Thirsk maiden (7f, soft) in April. Not scaled same heights either start since though, left behind under 2f out when fifth of 6 in handicap at Leicester 97f) last month.

Confirmed debut promise at second attempt when making winning return from 7 months off in a Chester novice (7.6f) in July. Only eighth of 11 in handicap back at that venue 6 weeks ago but it remains early days with her.

Has steadily gone the right way in handful of starts to date, best effort yet when 1 length third of 7 in handicap at Bath (1m) 44 days ago, no extra final 50 yds. Further progress not ruled out.

Already a 4-time winner this year and she quickly dispelled a lesser effort when second at Newmarket (1m) 6 days ago, no match for winner but nicely clear of the remainder. Sound claims again operating from same mark.

Forecasts

American Belle (2/1), Gone (9/4), Princess Niyla (10/3), Midsummer Music (7/1), Liberalist (17/2)

Verdict

GONE is enjoying a highly productive season, gaining her fourth success at Bath in June. Largely competitive from this sort of mark since, she ran well when runner-up at Newmarket 6 days ago and she looks sure to go well again. American Belle may emerge as the chief threat tackling 1m for the first time, with Midsummer Music also in the mix.
