The Geordie Ginge⁴⁹

3/1

Seemed to show fair form when a close second in a small-field Leicester maiden hurdle in November. Well below that level there next time but bounced back to form after 6 months off when second at Stratford in July, collared dying strides. Likely to go well again.

Form: 4620-2

Wonderful Eagle²⁶⁸

11/4

Fairly useful on Flat for Henk Grewe in Germany, successful 3 times at up to 1½m in 2022, including on final start. Interesting hurdling debutant.

Form:

Forecasts

Wonderful Eagle (11/4), The Geordie Ginge (3/1), Climbing (3/1), Littel Flour (10/3), Came From Nothing (7/1), Borderline (20/1), Olly's Folly (80/1), Princess Unique (100/1), Prelinsia (150/1), Brucie Bonus (400/1), Farnon (400/1)

WONDERFUL EAGLE showed a fairly useful level of ability on the Flat in Germany and should take a fair bit of beating if transferring that sort of form over to hurdles at the first attempt. The Geordie Ginge was collared only in the dying strides by one who's gone in again since at Stratford, so he's very much respected, while Little Flour and Climbing need factoring in, too.
