Off the mark for Charlie Appleby in 1m Newmarket handicap last summer. Has yet to scale same heights for present connections but produced one of his better efforts of the year from a sliding mark when fourth at Yarmouth (7f) 2 weeks ago. Not dismissed back up in trip.

Endured a disappointing 2022 but mark tumbled as a result and he capitalised on his return at Thirsk (1m) in May, suited by the way the race developed. Good efforts both starts since and seems sure to get his head back in front before long.

4-time course winner, latest in July, and proved as good as ever when second of 8 in C&D handicap (good to soft) 13 days ago, faring best of those ridden prominently. Remains unexposed at this trip.

Showed a good attitude to win for the 3rd time this year at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in April. Ran creditably back on turf at Haydock later in the month and has gone well fresh before so can't be ruled out back from a break.
