9/1

1/4, beaten in a match at Brighton (8f, firm) 21 days ago. However, that race may have come too soon and better can be expected here with blinkers refitted.

Form: 7100-14

(7)

Red Evelyn^p¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 9-6| J: Mikkel Mortensen⁽⁵⁾| T: J Butler| OR: 57| BF| D

5/1

Latest win at Wolverhampton in March. 10/3, first run since leaving Simon Pearce when creditable third of 9 in handicap at Chepstow (8.1f, good to firm) 14 days ago. Looks competitive on form.

Form: 141023

(5)

Embarked^h¹²

5/4

First run since leaving Jamie Richards when fourth of 15 in handicap (10/3) at Doncaster (7f, firm) 12 days ago. Likely to benefit from the return to this trip and he makes plenty of appeal.

Form: 094-574

(2)

18/1

50/1

One win from 24 Flat runs. 12/1, twelfth of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 36 days ago. Visor on 1st time and, in all probability, he'll again find a few too good.

Form: 729730

(8)

Arlo's Sunshine²⁹

17/2

Forecasts

Embarked (5/4), Free Step (3/1), Red Evelyn (5/1), Arlo's Sunshine (17/2), Girl Inthe Picture (9/1), El Royale (18/1), Good Humor (50/1), Stepmother (50/1)

Though EMBARKED ultimately failed to land a gamble on his first start since rejoining this yard at Doncaster, it was a highly encouraging effort nonetheless and, with the return to this trip likely to be in his favour, he rates a confident selection. Red Evelyn gets the nod for forecast purposes ahead of Free Step and Girl Inthe Picture.
