Failed to build on promise of his bumper debut at the second attempt in that sphere, and he didn't have much behind him when chasing home a long odds-on shot in a C&D maiden last month. Still, this is hardly a strong race, so it would be no surprise were he to play a part.

Well held on debut in an AW bumper in January and didn't fare much better starting out over hurdles in a C&D novice 20 days ago.

Little impact sole start under Rules in an Irish bumper back in February 2021. On the upside, he has won a couple of times between the flags in the interim, including on latest start in April, and it'll be interesting to see what the market has to say on this debut for new yard/hurdles bow.

Well held both starts in maiden hurdles for Gordon Elliott during the winter. Wide margin winner of a point in April but failed to complete either side of that (running out on latest start last month) and yard saddles a more appealing candidate in Bala Brook.

Has failed to trouble the judge in 3 completed starts over hurdles, the latest of which was in April 2021. However, he's a fairly useful handicapper on the Flat (won 3 times last year) and, having performed well at Goodwood just 11 days ago, he's of strong interest back hurdling with Cobden booked.

Dual point winner but overall record between the flags is hardly compelling, and he'll need to step up on what he's shown in bumpers in order to make a successful hurdles debut.

No sign of ability in 3 bumpers and beaten a long way on hurdles debut /first run following a wind op in the C&D maiden won by Basford, finishing well adrift of the re-opposing runner-up Bala Brook.

Pulled up sole start in points last month and she's hard to warm to now switched to hurdles.

With a creditable recent effort on the Flat at Goodwood under his belt, SONGO is taken to open his account in this sphere. The 7-y-o has hardly pulled up any trees in his 3 completed starts in this sphere but he will find few better opportunities than this and the booking of Harry Cobden adds to his appeal. Dual point winner Frankie Faulkner makes his hurdles debut at a realistic level and is feared most ahead of Bala Brook.
