Maiden who ran poorly on back of 13 weeks off/being gelded when seventh in 8-runner handicap at Newcastle 22 days ago. Mark has eased a little more if first-time visor has positive effect back on turf.
Lightly-raced winner. 9/1, respectable fourth of 12 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good) 16 days ago, ridden 2f out and keeping on. Looks competitive on form back down in grade.
Winner at Wolverhampton in March. 15/2, creditable third of 13 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 20 days ago, headed last ½f and no extra. No forlorn hope making turf debut.
Thrice-raced maiden. 7/2, fifth of 8 in maiden at Lingfield (5f, AW) in February, ridden home turn and one paced. Has been gelded subsequently and progress not ruled out now handicapping.
Lightly-raced winner. Improved on exploits in novice/maiden company when landing 12-runner handicap (2/1) at Southwell (6.1f) 19 days ago, leading near line. Shortlist material with further progress in the offing.
Fifth of 8 in handicap (7/1) at Thirsk (6f, heavy) 19 days ago, weakening final 1f. Others more persuasive.
15/2, fourth of 8 in handicap at Beverley (5f, soft) 29 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Back up in trip now and others arrive with more pressing claims despite sliding mark.
Thrice-raced maiden. 66/1, third of 11 in minor event at Doncaster (6f, heavy) 32 days ago, hanging badly left from 2f out. Not one to give upon just yet now sights are set on handicaps.
Thrice-raced maiden. 125/1, seventh of 9 in minor event at Redcar (7f, good to soft) 26 days ago, racing off the pace and never involved. Type yard does well with in handicaps so progress certainly not ruled out. Market may prove a useful guide.
Fifth of 8 in handicap (8/1) at Brighton (5.3f, good) 27 days ago. Cheekpieces on for 1st time.

Forecasts
Mereside Diva (10/3), Al Muzn (10/3), Protest Rally (9/2), Fayasel (5/1), Tees George (15/2), One Of Our Own (10/1), King Of The Jungle (18/1), Furnicoe (28/1), Parr Fire (28/1), Shot Of Love (28/1)
Despite not looking the finished article, PROTEST RALLY improved on his exploits in novice/maiden company to make a winning handicap debut at Southwell 3 weeks ago and, with further progress on the cards, he gets the vote to defy a 4 lb higher mark back on turf. Roger Varian's handicap debutant Al Muzn and Mereside Diva eased in grade head up the dangers.
