Dora Larner 92nd Birthday Celebration Handicap Chase

Completed a hat-trick at the start of last summer, with the first leg coming in this race. Hasn't hit the same heights since but dangerous to dismiss having dipped to only 2 lb above last year's mark.

Dual winner over hurdles and went close to a first chase success when beaten only a neck at Wincanton in February. Filled the runner-up spot over fences again at Kempton (20.5f) last time. Should go well again.

Won off 6 lb higher mark over hurdles at Newton Abbot in August 2021 but hasn't offered that much in 3 handicap hurdles since returning from a 15-month absence. Remains to be seen whether a return to fences helps to spark a revival.

Progressive hurdler who took well to fences last summer, winning 3 times. Presumably needed his recent reappearance at Huntingdon but he will need to have come on a good bit in a fairly short time. Has first-time cheekpieces added to his regular tongue tie.

Took well to chasing with 2m wins at Ffos Las and Newton Abbot in summer 2021. Well below par in 4 starts last season but is starting to look very well handicapped for a yard among the winners in recent days. Worth chancing.
