Fair winning hurdler in Ireland for Gavin Cromwell but yet to get competitive in 5 outings for current yard and is tough to recommend despite continuing to slide in weights.
Fairly useful Flat performer for Joseph O'Brien and standout effort for this yard when seventh of 11 at Carlisle (17f) in February. Fell early on handicap debut latest, though, and something to prove at present.
Justified strong support when winning on handicap debut at Ayr (16f) in March but not been in same form since. Fairly treated if back to best.
Showed improved form in blinkers when winning a brace of handicaps in 2021/22 and shaped better than distance beaten (on return from 13-month absence for new yard) at Southwell 18 days ago. Warrants respect.
Ran best race when second at Uttoxeter (15.8f) in October and likely to have been placed (unseated rider last) over same C&D a fortnight later. Below form when last seen the following month but not out of things on return here.
Fairly useful winner on Flat but essentially disappointing in this sphere and was a similar story on debut over fences last month. Returns to hurdling now.
Fair handicap chaser in Ireland for Henry de Bromhead but yet to threaten for new yard, never involved at Perth last month.
Posted career best when winning 11-runner handicap hurdle at Perth (16.2f, good to soft) 19 days ago, outbattling runner-up. 4 lb rise fair and is one for the shortlist.
Won 3 low-level handicaps in a productive 2021/22 campaign and back on the scoreboard, in first-time blinkers, when taking 10-runner handicap hurdle at Sedgefield (16.8f, heavy) 32 days ago. Just 3 lb higher now and holds solid claims.
Much improved when second of 12 in handicap hurdle at Musselburgh (2m, soft) in January but in nothing like the same form since, well beaten in a seller at Hexham latest. Tries cheekpieces now.
Has hit the crossbar 4 times over hurdles but the more significant statistic is that he's 0-17 in this sphere. Ran creditably on Flat when last seen in February but remains opposable over timber. 2 lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts
Magic Mike (1/1), Artic Row (9/2), Minella Youngy (6/1), Killane (13/2), Irish Sovereign (12/1), Burnage Boy (18/1), Ingleby Mackenzie (18/1), Bebside Banter (28/1), Ebendi (28/1), Mactavish (28/1), Edmond Dantes (66/1)
MAGIC MIKE showed a good attitude when opening his account at Perth last month and remains feasibly treated. He may be able to follow up. Sedgefield-winner Killane looks the likeliest danger, whilst Irish Sovereign also enters calculations.
- Magic Mike1/1
- Killane13/2
- Irish Sovereign12/1
