Touchwood²⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 9-10| J: J P Sullivan| T: Mrs R Carr| OR: 76

12/1

Runner-up 4 times (6f/7f) for Charlie Hills last year but well held on last month's Ripon stable debut. WIll likely strip fitter now but needs to have come on a lot.

Form: 22762-0

Gobi Sunset¹⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 9-9| J: Connor Beasley| T: C Johnston| OR: 75| D

3/1

Twenty one runs since last win in 2021 but figures on a career-low mark and good chance he can still make a major impact down at this 0-75 level, particularly as he's well drawn for a front-runner.

Form: 453076

(7)

Gometra Ginty^p¹⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 9-6| J: Billy Garritty| T: K Dalgleish| OR: 72| CD

10/3

Five-time course winner. Presumably needed the run when weakening to finish eighth of 12 on 1m course reappearance 15 days ago. Might last longer this time.

Form: 53482-8

(8)

Bicep²⁵⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: S H James| T: Grant Tuer| OR: 72| CD

4/1

Dual C&D winner last August. Off since a respectable fourth at Carlisle in September. Clearly suited to this venue and can play a part if ready to roll.

Form: 437114-

(3)

Ahamoment¹⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: B A Curtis| T: T D Barron| OR: 61

15/2

Fair maiden. No significant impact in a pair of 1m handicaps this season and being eased another 3 lb can only help on this return to 7f.

Form: 6373-76

(2)

Merricourt^p¹¹

Age: 7| Weight: 8-8| J: A Mullen| T: I Jardine| OR: 60| C| D

6/1

Course winner but hasn't fired in 3 outings this year. Starting to look well handicapped but need to see more.

Form: 456-005

(6)

St Andrew's Castle^p³⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 8-4| J: Cam Hardie| T: J S Goldie| OR: 56| D

9/1

Back to winning ways at Newcastle (7f) in March and remained in form since, finishing third over 1m here last month. Another prominent showing likely.

Form: 981273

Forecasts

Gobi Sunset (3/1), Gometra Ginty (10/3), Bicep (4/1), Merricourt (6/1), Ahamoment (15/2), St Andrew's Castle (9/1), Touchwood (12/1), Yaaser (12/1)

In a very tight handicap the suggestion is GOBI SUNSET who drops to 0-75 level for the first time in a couple of years and has an ideal draw for a front-runner. St Andrew's Castle and last year's dual C&D scorer Bicep head the dangers.
