Rajjamataz¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 12-0| J: Luke Scott⁽⁷⁾| T: Dr R D P Newland| OR: 99

8/1

No impact in bumpers but has shown more over hurdles, improving further when fourth in a novice at Hexham last time. Interesting handicap debutant.

Gastara³⁰⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-13| J: Sean Houlihan| T: R G Hawker| OR: 98

22/1

Matched his hurdles form when second on chase debut at Worcester a year ago and was shaping well prior to a fall at Ffos Las on return. Seemed amiss last time and now returns to hurdling with a bit to prove.

Form: 0P32-F6

He's My Shadow^t²⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-11| J: Mitchell Bastyan| T: R L Llewellyn| OR: 96

6/1

Placed in points and showed something to work on both starts over hurdles, fourth in a C&D novice 27 days ago. Worthy of respect.

Form: 3-37764

Adamhill⁵³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-7| J: Lee Edwards| T: Henry Oliver| OR: 92WS

8/1

Failed to complete both starts between the flags and just modest form at best so far under Rules, disappointing at Market Rasen on chasing debut 53 days ago. Mark is easing.

Form: 6-95054

Cast's Tasha^t1¹⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: Ben Clarke| OR: 92

11/2

Placed in mares' maiden hurdles at the start of the year and back on track when runner-up in a 5-runner handicap at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago. Tongue strap on for the first time.

Form: 633662

Dragoon Springs^t⁴⁴³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-3| J: Nick Slatter⁽⁵⁾| T: F O'Brien| OR: 88

15/8

Fair form in a couple of bumpers and shaped better than the result on more than one occasion over hurdles. Has left Tony Carroll and joined a shrewd stable since last seen 14 months ago, so well worth monitoring in the betting.

Form: 765448-

Duke Of Earl^t1¹⁴³

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: David Bass| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR: 84WS

12/1

Cost a bit and, while he has yet to live up to it, he returns from a break/breathing operation with his stable going better, so he's not a forlorn hope down in the weights with a tongue tie fitted.

Form: 669/6

Robynson⁴⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 10-10| J: Bridget Andrews| T: D Skelton| OR: 81

16/1

Well held in a bumper and no great promise over hurdles. Might do better now handicapping.

Form: 8005

Jack The Farmer¹²⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 10-3| J: Tom Buckley⁽³⁾| T: N J Hawke| OR: 74

6/1

Poor hurdler who lost his way for Ben Lund but is worth a market check starting out for a new stable.

Form: P-757PP

Weight: 10-2| Age: 7

T: M S Wilesmith J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Dragoon Springs (15/8), Cast's Tasha (11/2), Jack The Farmer (6/1), He's My Shadow (6/1), Rajjamataz (8/1), Adamhill (8/1), Duke Of Earl (12/1), Robynson (16/1), Gastara (22/1), Bellamys Girl (66/1)

DRAGOON SPRINGS shaped well a few times for Tony Carroll over hurdles and looks well treated on bumper form, so he might be worth chancing on debut for a new yard despite having a 14-month absence to overcome. Cast's Tasha looks a solid alternative and Rajjamataz deserves respect.
