Promising sort. Course winner. 8/11, second of 11 in minor event at Kempton (8f) when last seen in November, needing stronger gallop. Gelded since and now tried in a hood. Very much the one to beat.

Twice-raced winner. One win from 2 runs last year. 9¼ lengths sixth of 10 to Dance In The Grass in listed race at Sandown (7f, good, 28/1) on final start at 2 yrs. Sights lowered here and she should make her presence felt.

Forecasts

Naxos (4/11), Fade To Gray (4/1), Mlle Chanel (5/1), Keeponbelieving (66/1), Sidney's Son (80/1)

Verdict

NAXOS was turned over by a Roger Varian newcomer when odds-on for a Kempton novice in November but the muddling nature of that race didn't play to his strengths and, in any case, the winner (successful again next time) could be useful. Gelded since and now equipped with a hood, he is taken to resume winning ways. Mlle Chanel earns marginal preference ahead of Fade To Gray for forecast purposes.
