Returned better than ever, narrowly landing 16-runner Uttoxeter handicap in December and career-best display when following up emphatically over extended 25f here 4 weeks ago. 7 lb higher now but she's clearly thriving and big shout in hat-trick bid.

7-y-o who stepped up on first 2 starts when second in 10-runner C&D novice in February, looking well served by the step up in trip. Never figured dropped in distance on qualifying run back here (17.7f) last month but could do better now handicapping for yard enjoying a good run.

Reached the frame in both bumpers and ran to a fair level on second start over hurdles (following wind op) when third at Newcastle (20.3f) in January. However, needs to jump better than he did when third in a C&D novice since. Handicap debut.

Dual hurdles winner who showed benefit of Hereford run when third in 9-runner Exeter handicap (23f) in February. Possibly found much quicker conditions against her when pulled up at Newbury later that month and bounce back certainly not ruled out.

Showed much improved form when readily making a successful handicap debut at Worcester (2m4f) in October, leading on bridle after 3 out. Similar form in hitting the frame from inflated mark both starts since and fancied to be in the mix again.

Three-time winner last season (including over C&D) and creditable effort (in first-time blinkers) when third at Huntingdon (20.6f, soft) on Boxing Day. However, turned in a laboured display returned to this C&D a month later. Others make more appeal.

Some encouragement in bumpers and again when placed in a pair of maiden hurdles in the autumn. Exploits in handicaps have been disappointing though, well held on the back of 12 weeks off at Huntingdon (20.6f) 3 weeks ago.

Fair hurdler for Rebecca Curtis but record was a patchy one and whilst it was highly likely he needed the run after 22 months off over extended 25f here in March, others make more appeal.

Fair form when runner-up in 21f Warwick maiden hurdle last March. Well below par over fences and hurdles this term however, so has it to prove. Cheekpieces go back on.

Produced a couple of respectable efforts from much-reduced mark at Huntingdon in the spring and feasible to think he needed first start for 9 months back at that venue in February. Not out of things from this career-low mark.

Forecasts

Flintara (10/3), Just Loose Change (5/1), Star Flyer (5/1), Legal Rights (5/1), Royal Lake (11/2), Chloe's Court (10/1), San Pedro De Senam (11/1), Mistral Lady (25/1), Privatearing (40/1), Oscar Asche (66/1)

Verdict

FLINTARA has returned an all-round improved model, building on her December victory at Uttoxeter in comfortable fashion here (25.7f) 4 weeks ago. She earns the vote to defy another rise in the weights and complete the hat-trick, with Just Loose Change and Chloe's Court heading up the dangers. Star Flyer is also worth keeping an eye on.
