Clearly fragile but made the most of a reduced mark when landing a 13-runner handicap over 22.4f here in November 2021. However, beaten a long way when bidding to land this season's renewal of the same race (since left Paul Nicholls) and now has a bit to prove.
Back from a wind op when bolting up in Grade 3 handicap at Cheltenham in December 2021. Not disgraced when bidding to win the same race on reappearance this time round but subsequent efforts merely underline his inconsistency.
Dual hurdles winner who made it third time lucky over fences at Chepstow (2m) in November 2021. Pulled up on first start since at Wetherby in January, though, and while he was successful between the flags back in 2019, this will be his first attempt beyond 21f under Rules.
Understandably looked rusty when returning from 20 months on debut for new yard at Doncaster in December. Duly bounced back with a tidy success in a 3m veterans' event back on Town Moor last month. 6 lb rise manageable and another bold show anticipated.
Multiple winner over hurdles/fences during 2020/21 and has rediscovered his shooting boots returned to veterans' company of late, scoring at Musselburgh (3m) and over 3¼m here the last twice. Nudged up just 2 lb for latter success and should have a part to play.
Welsh National winner in 2018 and proved he retains a useful level of ability when ending last term with success in a veterans' event at Ascot (3m). However, he's proved disappointing so far this season.
A regular in veterans' races and latest success was gained in one here in March 2021. Creditable placed efforts on first 2 starts of the current campaign but well held at Sandown last time and he's opposable on the back of that display.
Not at his best in 2 starts so far this season but he's now 5 lb lower compared to when landing a decent pot at Chepstow at the beginning of his 2021/22 campaign. Will be a danger to all if he puts his best foot forward.
In good form in veterans' company this season, scoring over 25f at Haydock in November before a solid fifth of 18 at Sandown where he had 3 of these rivals behind. Latest run can be overlooked and he's one to consider.
Not the force of old but has made the frame on 3 of his 4 starts this season, most recently at Doncaster where he was third in a 10-runner veterans' handicap. Eased 2 lb since and each-way chance if able to keep mistakes to a minimum.

Boldmere (10/3), Cyclop (9/2), Chirico Vallis (6/1), Saint Xavier (6/1), Ruthless Article (6/1), Potters Legend (8/1), Commodore (9/1), Witness Protection (10/1), Elegant Escape (12/1), Sir Ivan (14/1), Kapcorse (22/1)
BOLDMERE looked on good terms with himself when scoring at Doncaster on his second run back from a lengthy absence and, if in a similar mood here, it's unlikely that a 6 lb rise will be enough to prevent him from going in again. The hat-trick seeking Cyclop can be expected to put in another good shift but the selection may have more to fear from Chirico Vallis, who has slipped to an attractive mark, and Saint Xavier.
