Disappointed on final start for David Bridgwater at Uttoxeter (3m) in the spring and similarly offered little returning from 8 months off for present yard at Kempton (3m) over Christmas. Had wind op ahead of this and betting may prove an informative guide.
Bright start for this yard last spring, adding to his tally at Market Rasen (27.5f) in May. Posted a good second of 5 in handicap chase at Wincanton (25.1f, good) 33 days ago so needs considering.
Won a 3m handicap hurdle at Ascot in November and made a successful switch to fences at Doncaster (3¼m). Very good third in North Wales National at Bangor since. Player nudged up just 1 lb. Engaged 4.10 Haydock Wednesday.
Both career wins have been registered over this C&D, the latest in first-time blinkers a month ago when scoring by 32 lengths. Pulled up last time though so needs to get back on track.

Forecasts
The Questioner (1/1), Wake Up Early (3/1), Sir Apollo (10/3), Captain Tommy (12/1)
THE QUESTIONER has taken well to fences and looks the way to go on the back of his very good Bangor third. Wincanton runner-up Wake Up Early appeals as the one to give the selection most to do.
