Sandra Finch Surprise Handicap Chase

Winning hurdler who readily surpassed his chase debut effort when an emphatic winner of 25f Hereford handicap in November. His 2 efforts since have been disappointing (distant last of 3 at Hereford latest) but given a short break and dangerous to rule out a revival for yard which does so well here.

Dual hurdles winner who has shown similar form in 4 runs over fences. One paced when 3 lengths third of 4 over 2m at Huntingdon latest and this return to a longer trip should suit. Considered having been eased another 2 lb.

C&D winner in the autumn and added to his tally at Catterick in November. Run of good form came to a halt at Southwell last time but he's capable of bouncing back at a venue where he has a solid record.

Winner at Hexham (2m) last spring. Off since a below-par fourth at Chepstow in November but he returns with his stable among the winners. No surprise were he to revive.

In fine form last winter, rattling off quick-fire hat-trick. Back to best when second at Newbury (soft) on New Year's Eve and possibly unsuited by quicker ground when 14 lengths third of 4 there since. Conditions should be more to his liking this afternoon.

Fairly useful chaser in France but yet to fire for current stable. A 12-week break since last seen on Boxing Day needs to have done him some good.
