Some promise in bumpers and novice hurdles for Evan Williams. Very interesting now handicapping for a stable which does well with new recruits. High on the list.
Showed ability on his first 3 starts but has disappointed the last twice, including on handicap debut last time. Still has time on his side but needs to get career back on track.
Well held in bumper/2 Flat maidens for Katie Scott in 2022 but has shown potential on all 3 outings over hurdles for current stable. Appeals as one who may go on to better things in handicaps.
Turned in his best effort of the season when 5 lengths second in 2m Market Rasen handicap last month but this long-standing maiden wasn't in anything like the same form when a remote last of 7 at Newbury 17 days ago.
Still to get his head in front. Some creditable efforts in the autumn but his 2 efforts this year have been no more than respectable. Eased another 3 lb but it may not be enough.
Improved effort over hurdles when going close on C&D handicap debut (good to soft) 15 days ago. 3 lb rise is unlikely to prevent another prominent showing if turning up in similar form.
Sedgefield winner last winter. Operating below best this time round but did hint at a revival at Ayr last time and he's well treated if able to build on that.
Successful over fences at Sedgefield last winter but has largely struggled since, finishing well held in a chase when last seen in November. A subsequent wind operation needs to help spark a revival.
Flat winner who confirmed previous promise over hurdles when opening account at Newcastle (2m) last March. Followed up back on the level but has failed to see things out back over hurdles this term. Enough to prove.

Forecasts
Sonnemoser (2/1), Jukebox D'eddy (9/2), El Jefe (6/1), Largy Reach (6/1), William Of York (9/1), Captain Jack (10/1), Just Dottie (16/1), Balranald (16/1), Jamil (18/1)
A chance is taken on SONNEMOSER who more than hinted at promise in his qualifying runs and has joined an in-form stable ahead of this switch to handicap company. Recent C&D second Jukebox d'Eddy rates an obvious threat, while Just Dottie is a potential improver now handicapping.
