Rose King¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: D Swift| T: S Dixon| C

13/8

15/2, won 11-runner minor event at this course (6.1f) on debut 16 days ago. The second has won since and he has to enter calculations, for all that this is a tougher assignment.

11/2

Fair colt. 14/1, fifth of 6 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 22 days ago. Likely to pick up a race at some point but will probably find one or two of these too good.

Form: 940-325

(5)

Age: 3| Weight: 8-9| J: Shane Gray| T: K A Ryan

10/1

Promising type. 9/1, sixth of 10 in minor event at this C&D when last seen in August. Form of the Beverley novice in which she was second on debut is pretty decent and she's open to improvement.

Forecasts

Sugar Hill Babe (6/5), Rose King (13/8), Cuban Grey (11/2), Stella Blue (10/1), Lady Gazelle (14/1), Rajmeister (16/1), Lady's Surprise (200/1)

Provided she is fully tuned-up following a 6-month break, STELLA BLUE could be the answer. She split a pair of next-time-out winners when runner-up on her introduction at Beverley last spring and subsequently showed plenty of dash before fading late on over this C&D. Few maidens deserve to get their head in front more than Sugar Hill Babe and she should be on the premises if breaking on terms (often misses the kick), while Rose King, successful on debut here recently, also merits respect.
