Veteran who has gained all 3 of his chase victories at this venue, and he held every chance prior to a bad mistake at the final fence back here last time. Possibilities off the same mark granted an error-free round of jumping.

Followed Market Rasen reappearances success with a couple of inauspicious displays. Not entirely disgraced in valuable handicaps the last twice, the latest at Ascot on Saturday, but current mark leaves very little margin for error.
Out of sorts for Gordon Elliott last summer and fared no better on stable debut in handicap hurdle at Fakenham on New Year's Day. However, returned to form back over fences when second at Leicester (2½m) and a repeat of that would put him firmly in the picture.
Won the Ultima at Cheltenham Festival in 2018 and some useful efforts for Nick Williams in 2020/21. Little impact in 2 starts for new yard since returning from a lengthy absence in November but dangerous to discount down in class off a reduced mark here.
Decisive winner at Warwick last spring and performed with credit when fifth in a valuable handicap from 10 lb out of the weights there last time. Went close over this C&D on penultimate start and he needs considering.
Still a maiden but, following a wind op, he produced his best effort yet on these shores when just touched off at Lingfield (23.5f) last week. Was 6 lb 'wrong' that day so the fact that he's 3 lb out of the handicap here is of no great concern and a bold show is anticipated.

Forecasts
Seigneur Des As (7/4), Volcano (3/1), One True King (16/5), The Big Lense (8/1), Coo Star Sivola (11/1), Head To The Stars (16/1)
A first taste of success could be on the cards for SEIGNEUR DES AS, who went very close indeed on his first start following wind surgery at Lingfield and he'll get plenty of assistance from the saddle with Gina Andrews booked. The Big Lense returned to form from out of the blue last time but it remains to be seen if he will be able to back that up. Consequently, Volcano is second choice ahead of Coo Star Sivola.
