50/1

Thrice-raced maiden. Eighth of 12 in novice at Southwell (1mf, 100/1) 31 days ago. Probably won't see the best of him until handicapping.

7/2

Fair form on both starts, stepping up a little on debut when second of 8 in novice at this course (7f) 11 days ago, running on. Unlikely to be too far away but might be vulnerable for win purposes unless finding improvement.

Form: 32

(5)

12/1

33/1, needed experience but showed promise when fifth of 9 in novice at Kempton (1m) on debut 16 days ago. Likely to improve.

Form: 5

Forecasts

Canberra Legend (8/11), United Force (7/2), Carbis Bay (13/2), Pillarsofcreation (12/1), Sir John Monash (14/1), Knockbrex (18/1), My Duty (33/1), Pledgeofallegiance (50/1)

An interesting race. James Ferguson won this race last year so the well-bred CANBERRA LEGEND might be worth chancing to make a winning debut. Carbis Bay is another newcomer who looks the part on paper, while Roger Varian's Pillarsofcreation should be all the wiser with her recent debut behind her.
