Back to winning ways in a 20.5f course handicap in November, drawing right away to score by 16 lengths. A chunk of his 9 lb rise is offset by Caoilin Quinn's claim. Bold show likely if in the same form.

Quickly surpassed his fairly useful hurdles form with chase wins at Fakenham (21f) and Bangor (3m) at the end of 2021. Even better form when placed at Newbury and Ayr (Scottish Grand National) in the spring. Given time since a below-par reappearance at Ascot in October. Capable of bouncing back.
|
Off the mark over fences in 3m novice handicap at Ascot in November 2021 but ended last season out of form and there was little encouragement to be taken from his Chepstow return in October.
|
Progressive chaser for Nicky Henderson last term but left that yard after finishing a below-form fourth on Sandown reappearance and made a disappointing start for this yard at Newbury over Christmas. Has had wind surgery since. Also sports first-time cheekpieces.
|
Won the novice handicap on this card a year ago and followed up in a decent race at Sandown a month later. His 3 efforts this season have been at least respectable and he's back on the same mark as Sandown. Needs considering.
|
Progressive chaser in 2021, winning 3 times at up to 3m and a creditable third at Uttoxeter on final start. Been off for 16 months but top stable no stranger to winning with one after a lay-off. Yard also won this race last year.
|
Improved run over hurdles when fourth of 17 in EBF Final at Sandown on final start last season and performed to a similar level when placed in a couple of small-field handicap chases in the autumn. Remains low mileage back from a 3-month break.

Forecasts
Killer Kane (13/8), Mumbo Jumbo (10/3), Dorking Lad (10/3), Major Dundee (8/1), Valsheda (12/1), Dog Of War (12/1), Jeremy Pass (20/1)
Dan Skelton won this race last year and it might be worth chancing him to repeat the feat with the returning DOG OF WAR. Killer Kane, who was successful on this card last year, is down to the same mark as when landing a Sandown listed novice handicap last spring and is feared most ahead of November's wide-margin C&D scorer Dorking Lad, who has Caoilin Quinn taking a handy 5 lb off.

- Killer Kane13/8
- Dorking Lad10/3
