Hexham winner for Sandy Forster in April and struck again for new stable in 13-runner Doncaster handicap (19.5f) last month. Lightly-raced type who could have more to offer and a good chunk of his 7 lb rise is offset by Jack Hogan's claim.
Point winner who built on the encouragement of his hurdle debut at the second attempt when winning a novice at Wetherby (2m, soft) over Christmas. Unexposed now moving into handicap company.
Successful 3 times last season for Toby Lawes and also successful at Cartmel for new yard in June. Off since unseating there at the end of August. Possibly best watched this time.
Landed 3 C&D wins last season. Proved a disappointment sent chasing on his Hexham reappearance in November but bounced back with placed efforts in handicap hurdles over C&D and at Market Rasen to end 2022. Likely to be very competitive.
Won 3 times following a lengthy absence last season but has been a well-beaten fourth on both outings this term. Now back hyurdling after 11 weeks off. Malpas the more obvious of the yard's pair.
Landed back-to-back C&D handicaps in the autumn but has found it tougher from higher in the weights both starts since, finishing a well-beaten third of 7 at Kelso 22 days ago.
Likeable and consistent through most of his career but hasn't fired in 3 outings this season. Is back on a good mark if first-time cheekpieces give him a lift, though.
Fair winning hurdler in Ireland for Gavin Cromwell but last of 5 on Musselburgh stable debut 5 weeks ago. Dropped 2 lb for that but it doesn't look enough.
Punchestown maiden hurdle success for Gordon Elliott back in December 2016 remains his sole victory from 38 starts under Rules and offered little on his completed start over fences this winter. First hurdle start since 2018.
Landed a Newcastle maiden in November 2020 and shaped as if retaining all ability after 2 years off when second on handicap debut at Musselburgh (2m, soft) in November. Respectable third at Doncaster (2m again) since. Can playu a part.
Won at Southwell last spring. Placed in Plumpton seller and Southwell handicap to end 2022. Has a first run for a new yard here after leaving Fergal O'Brien.
Gained a second C&D success (2 years apart) when edging out Malpas (Wor Verge back in fourth) in November. Hardly has the profile of one likely to follow up but his decent course record (also second in this race 12 months ago) provides hope.
Last success came over 2 years ago and his latest Ayr run was disappointing. On a career-low mark but others certainly arrive with more pressing claims.

Clear White Light (7/4), Lively Citizen (10/3), Malpas (11/2), Leading Force (6/1), Quick Sharpener (15/2), Fostered Phil (9/1), Applaus (11/1), Serious Ego (16/1), Wor Verge (18/1), Vocal Duke (20/1), Minella Youngy (33/1), City Derby (33/1), Cenotice (80/1), Dakota Moirette (100/1)
The low-mileage CLEAR WHITE LIGHT could have more to offer on the back of his Doncaster success and is taken to make light of top weight. Malpas has a very good C&D record and is second choice ahead of unexposed pair Leading Force and Quick Sharpener.
