Shirocco gelding. Half-brother to smart chaser KIller Clown. Maiden pointer, unplaced last time (May 2022).

Runner-up on second of 2 starts in Irish points but was badly in need of the experience when down the field on Sedgefield hurdling debut in September and fared no better at Huntingdon.
No show in debut in a Chepstow bumper on debut/sole start last season and has failed to trouble the judge in a couple of novice hurdles this time round. Looks more one for handicaps in due course.
Promise on both outings in bumpers and went like the best horse at the weights sent hurdling when runner-up at Wincanton (15.2f, soft) 23 days ago, despite looking a bit ungainly under pressure. Obvious player.
Fairly useful at best on the Flat but went with little promise tried hurdling at Fontwell 35 days ago.
Winning start under Rules in a Fontwell bumper in October and showed plenty to work on sent hurdling when fourth of 12 in a Newbury maiden (16.3f) in November. SImilar effort when fifth at Doncaster and that puts him in the mix.
£52,000 3-y-o, Milan gelding. Closely related to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/chaser I'm All You Need and bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Minella Tara. Promising start when third at Fontwell in November, sticking to the task. Should be bang there.
Showed a bit in a Warwick bumper on her debut but well held both starts over hurdles.

Forecasts
Poncho (5/6), Tapley (7/4), Trevor's Lad (4/1), Invictus De Brion (33/1), Jacks Orchard (50/1), Dr Lockdown (50/1), Often Overlooked (66/1), Yesnosorry (100/1), Qeyaady (125/1)
Inexperience seemed to cost PONCHO on hurdles deubt at Wincanton 3 weeks ago but it was a still a very promising effort, and with that under his belt, he can go one better. Trevor's Lad and Tapley are the obvious threats.
