Jilly Cooper²⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-11| J: Oliver Stammers⁽³⁾| T: C Johnston| OR: 82| CD

7/2

C&D winner in October. 10/3, creditable third of 6 in handicap at Lingfield (1m) 27 days ago. Big player back at what is probably her optimum trip.

Algheed⁸^{(ex 5)}

Age: 5| Weight: 9-11| J: Billy Loughnane⁽⁵⁾| T: D M Loughnane| OR: 77| CD

3/1

Back to winning ways over C&D this month and followed up in 6f handicap here 10 days later. 5 lb penalty demands more but she's hard to rule out in her current mood.

Form: 3331-11

(4)

Rishes Baar²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-9| J: Joanna Mason| T: G Tutty| OR: 80

80/1

Debut winner for David O'Meara in autumn 2021 but drawn a blank since, including seventh of 8 at Southwell 3 weeks ago. Not hard to look elsewhere.

Form: 02009-7

(7)

Starshiba^v⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 9-8| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: D O'Meara| OR: 79| BF| D

11/4

Three wins over 7f/1m at Lingfield in the last couple of months. Showed he's still in good form when third of 12 at Lingfield (1m) 6 days ago. Likely to go well again.

Form: 3113-13

(8)

Free Solo^b,t¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 9-6| J: Nicola Currie| T: J A Osborne| OR: 77| D

16/1

Won twice at Lingfield around the turn of the year. Runner-up all 3 outings since, although not at his best in a C&D claimer last time.

Form: 61-1222

(3)

Ballyconneely Bay²⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 9-6| J: Rossa Ryan| T: Miss J A Camacho| OR: 77

12/1

Latest win at Hamilton in August. Below-form fifth of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) 25 days ago. Others more persuasive.

Form: 52510-5

(5)

Visibility⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 9-2| J: Elisha Whittington⁽⁵⁾| T: S Dixon| OR: 73| CD

17/2

Four-time course winner, the latest in December. 22/1, creditable third of 11 in handicap at this course (9.5f) 8 days ago. Back down in trip.

Form: 27415-3

(2)

Global Warning⁴⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 8-13| J: George Wood| T: J Butler| OR: 70| CD

11/2

C&D winner. Thirteen runs since last win in 2022. Ninth of 12 in handicap (14/1) at Kempton (7f) 44 days ago but had been runner-up over this C&D prior to that. One to note in the market.

Form: 205P29-

Forecasts

Starshiba (11/4), Algheed (3/1), Jilly Cooper (7/2), Global Warning (11/2), Visibility (17/2), Ballyconneely Bay (12/1), Free Solo (16/1), Rishes Baar (80/1)

This is probably JILLY COOPER's optimum trip so she's taken to resume winning ways on the back of a good effort over 1m at Lingfield last time. Starshiba has got right back to form lately and can provide the chief threat ahead of the thriving Algheed.
