11/2

Back on track in first-time cheekpieces on the back of a wind op when second of 7 at Carlisle in February (24.5f). Sound return from 9 months off when third over that C&D and he's not yet exposed.

Classic Ben^p⁵⁹

Age: 10| Weight: 11-13| J: C Gethings| T: S Edmunds| OR: 125| D

15/2

Losing run is mounting up but he did end last term with pair of runners-up efforts over 30.7f here and returned with a good third at Uttoxeter (26f) in November. However, the assessor probably has him about right.

Form: 7/7F22-3

New Age Dawning^p1,t¹⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-10| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe| OR: 122| C| D

7/1

Winner of a bumper/novice hurdle in 2019. Resumed winning ways in 3-runner handicap chase in January 2022 and while he's been restricted to just 3 races since, last month's runner-up effort back at Ffos Las was a good one.

Form: 1/P14-42

Favori De Sivola^p,t³⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-8| J: David Noonan| T: Mrs J Williams| OR: 120| CD

4/1

Represents in-form yard and he gained fifth chase win of his career over 30.7f here last month. Up 5 lb and down in trip but likely to give it another good go.

Form: 1453-41

Eclair Mag^p,t⁴⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 11-3| J: Rex Dingle| T: R Bandey| OR: 115| D

8/1

Ex-French recruit who sprung a surprise on British debut in 3m handicap chase at Market Rasen in January 2021. Record has been mixed since, still looking short of a change of pace in ref-fitted headgear at Bangor in November.

Form: 86F74-4

Raddon Top^p⁹

Age: 10| Weight: 11-3| J: James Davies| T: C J Down| OR: 115| BF| C| D

3/1

Landed hat-trick of handicap hurdles here last term and promising chase debut when third over C&D 9 days ago, sticking to the task. More to come and looks a big player from the same mark.

Form: 132-233

Don Herbager³⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-3| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR: 115| CD

13/2

C&D winner who relished the step up in trip when recording a fourth success over fences at Bangor (29.6f) in February, never stronger than at the finish. Disappointing return to action behind Favori de Sivola here last month.

Form: 5/5141-5

Premiumaccess^b,t¹⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Tizzard| OR: 114| D

18/1

Posted best effort for some time when second of 11 in handicap chase at Fontwell (27.7f) in November. Unseated rider before the race took shape at Wincanton on Boxing Day.

Form: 43-422U

Forecasts

Raddon Top (3/1), Favori De Sivola (4/1), Equus Dreamer (11/2), Don Herbager (13/2), New Age Dawning (7/1), Classic Ben (15/2), Eclair Mag (8/1), Premiumaccess (18/1)

Having compiled an excellent record in handicaps over hurdles, RADDON TOP made a very promising start to his chase career when third over C&D 9 days ago and he ticks plenty of boxes from the same mark. Favori de Sivola and Equus Dreamer head the opposition.
