Age: 6| Weight: 12-2| J: C J Todd| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 107

Form: 13-3411

Cartonne^t1⁴⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-11| J: Theo Gillard⁽³⁾| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 102

10/3

Ex-pointer who has finished runner-up 4 times over hurdles. Off 6 months, below-form fourth in 19f novice here 6 weeks ago but this drop back to 2m could suit this free-goer now handicapping. One to consider in first-time tongue tie.

Form: 2322-24

Miltiades³²⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-11| J: G Sheehan| T: H D Daly| OR: 102

4/1

Had a wind op before posting a respectable fourth in handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (2m) 10 months ago. Stable is enjoying a good season and he's unexposed enough to think he may have more to offer.

Form: 35/3454-

Belvedere Blast^v⁴⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-9| J: W T Kennedy| T: A Keatley| OR: 100

25/1

Won Hexham maiden in the summer but sketchy jumping means he comes with risks attached and he's been well beaten the last twice.

Form: 12U384

Bashful^h⁴⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: C O'Farrell| T: I Jardine| OR: 98| BF| D

9/2

In good form, following up his Uttoxeter success with a good effort in a slowly-run 17f Sedgefield handicap 40 days ago. This is tougher.

Form: P44-012

Edgar Allan Poe⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 11-3| J: Thomas Willmott⁽³⁾| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR: 94

28/1

Seven-time winner on the Flat and fair form in a couple of maiden hurdles last season. Well held in 2 runs this time around however, including in handicap at Wetherby on Boxing Day.

Form: 52-80

Coup De Gold²⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: Joe Williamson⁽⁵⁾| T: D Thompson| OR: 90| C

9/2

On a long losing run and well held again at Newcastle last time, the very steady early gallop not a help for a free-goer like him. First go over the minimum trip for a while and interesting if he's allowed to stride on.

Form: 7-33764

Ilaya^h,t²²⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 10-13| J: Joshua Thompson⁽¹⁰⁾| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 90| D

22/1

Last win came from 23 lb higher but there's been little to shout about for a while and her record fresh isn't great.

Form: 06906-0

Nechako^p1,t⁶⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: William Shanahan⁽⁷⁾| T: James Moffatt| OR: 88

18/1

Some promise at Cartmel this summer but well beaten in 2 handicaps. Cheekpieces go on back down in trip.

Form: 253578

Belle Na Bann^t⁸⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-7| J: Miss Becky Smith| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 84| BF

33/1

Took handicaps at Fontwell (17.7f) and Newton Abbot (16.8f) this summer but good run of form came to a halt at Worcester when last seen 3 months ago and she starts out for a new yard here.

Form: P71136

Temper Trap⁵⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-3| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: T D Easterby| OR: 80

22/1

Had a good summer on the Flat but failed to complete making handicap debut back over hurdles at Sedgefield 8 weeks ago.

Form: 67/P-U

Zara's Universe²⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 10-2| J: J Kington| T: A Crook| OR: 76

22/1

Long-standing maiden who has several decent-enough bits and pieces of form to her name but suspect she'll do well to open her account in this.

Form: 4255-U4

Snowed In^p²³⁶

Age: 14| Weight: 10-2| J: Thomas Dowson| T: Lizzie Quinlan| OR: 74| CD

40/1

Won this in 2017 and 2018 but wasn't the same force when last seen in the spring.

Form: 07377-8

Non-Runners

Magna Moralia²¹

Weight: 11-13| Age: 6

T: M E Sowersby J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Cartonne (10/3), Miltiades (4/1), Bashful (9/2), Coup De Gold (9/2), Heritier (11/2), Nechako (18/1), Temper Trap (22/1), Zara's Universe (22/1), Ilaya (22/1), Belvedere Blast (25/1), Edgar Allan Poe (28/1), Belle Na Bann (33/1), Snowed In (40/1), Magna Moralia (50/1)

CARTONNE could be hard to peg back fitted with a tongue tie for his handicap debut and he gets the vote. Heritier is a big player in his hat-trick bid back over hurdles. Coup de Gold and the returning Miltiades are a couple of others to note.
